ZeroTrace Mode

Keep your searches confidential.

Available with all Enterprise plans

Your data won't leave a trace

When you enable ZeroTrace Mode, we won't store search parameters, search files, or search data on our servers. Once your search is done, it's as if it were never here.

Enable by just adding zero_trace=true to your search

ZeroTrace Mode is easy to enable or disable. Just add zero_trace=true to the searches you want ZeroTrace on, and omit it for the searches you don't.

Easier Compliance

ZeroTrace mode can make it easier to comply with regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA) and certifications (SOC 2 Type 1, SOC 2 Type 2, and ISO 27001).

FAQs

How to access ZeroTrace mode?
ZeroTrace mode is only included in Enterprise plans. There is no cap on usage.
Can this feature be used with all of SerpApi's search APIs?
Yes, ZeroTrace mode is fully supported on all SerpApi's search APIs.
How does ZeroTrace mode work?
We skip saving parameters, metadata, and the actual search in our database entirely. We also don't store any files or search-related data on any of our servers, including our servers that connect to the actual search engines. For third-party services or search engines that are by nature outside our direct control, we add a Do Not Track (DNT) header to all HTTP requests that may contain ZeroTrace search data.
How can I debug ZeroTrace Searches?
Unfortunately, it's more difficult to debug ZeroTrace searches. We recommend re-running without the zero_trace=true flag, finding them back on your dashboard, and contacting support if needed.
